About our programs
We wish to provide the children of our community with essential crafting skills that would help them learn how to use their creativity to be financially stable. We will be offering a summer camp for children of ages 6 to 12 that will offer four programs.
By drawing designs, sourcing materials, and ultimately making handmade jewelry, children will learn how to start with a vision and create a finished product. Participants will learn how to formulate their ideas, where to buy materials, and how to handcraft uniquely beautiful jewelry. After they've completed making things like necklaces, bracelets, and rings, they will market their one of kind jewelry online.
Behind every published literary work is a dedicated team of writers, illustrators, editors, and publishers. Children will learn the different roles of creating a book by actually playing each part as they create their very only story. From coming up with the idea, to storyboarding, illustrating, writing, editing, and publishing, each child will have a hand in the process of producing a book. Then they will take part in a sales workshop to learn how to take their masterpiece to market. At the end of the program, they will participate in a book signing that will take place in a bookstore.
Simple and natural, children will create various types of cosmetics and beauty products ranging from bath salts to lip balm. Starting with sourcing, participants will learn about the different ingredients and how they fit together into handmade cosmetics. Once they have a finished product, they will package and market it to learn how to sell their new beauty line.
Whether its buying wholesale or creating their own brand, kids will get the education and experience of taking a product to market. Participants will learn the ins and outs of online retailing through website design, marketing, managing inventory, and distribution as they become immersed in the world of ecommerce.
